Jimmy Needham

Aaron Ivey

Jimmy Needham's obsession with music began as an adolescent studying musical theatre before he graduated to playing guitar in high school. However, it wasn't until college that he began writing his own material-and in some ways the success that's followed seems accidental…or inevitable, depending on how you look at it.

“My headspace at the time I was starting out was, 'I don't want to be the guy who tries to beat down doors to get into the industry,' so I just decided to keep doing things my own way and if they didn't pan out, I would be content being a history teacher.” Thankfully, that wasn't the case. His father helped him fund his first record, and he was approached by Inpop records who signed him after hearing his music.

“Since I didn't beat down doors to get this job, I can kind of hold it with an open hand,” Needham says. “So if God takes this away, I'm going to sleep like a baby because it's never really defined me.” Needham's music may not define him, but it's helping him gain a hardcore following of fans and the respect of the Christian music industry for this talented young man from Katy, Texas.

Just when you think you have Needham figured out, he releases Nighlights' with surprises such as the hip-hop, inflected neo-soul centerpiece “Grace Amazing.” “I listened to a lot of hip-hop growing up, so I thought we would take some chances with this record,” he says. “'Grace Amazing' is my favorite track on the album and it's kind of got a Maroon Five/Michael Jackson meets straight hip-hop kind of feel,” he explains. "I just love playing that song live and the response has been great. I think that the audience really appreciates when an artist is willing to take risks instead of just writing the same type of song over and over again.”

Ultimately, if there was one word that could be used to best describe Jimmy Needham it would be humble-and that's an emotion that everyone can relate to. Jimmy, his wife Kelly, and daughter Livley, live in Dallas, Texas.

Altar

AltarALTAR is a group of young people who are passionate for their Creator, for life and for others and they reveal it through the passion in their music. In the last 5 years they've been able to capture the hearts of many in numerous cities in the Unites States and beyond. They are able to connect with people of any denomination, race or walk of life. This may seem impossible to do but ALTAR makes it look so effortless by compiling a fusion of musical elements and genres such as gospel, salsa, reggae, cumbia/tex-mex, latin jazz, rock/alternative, contemporary worship, etc. What allows them to break through any barriers is that they represent real people with real limitations but who trust in an amazing God of second chances who is able to do incredible things with anyone who surrenders at the altar.

Their most recent project is titled “Sin Ti” (Without you) and it focuses on the need of every human being to connect with God, recognizing He is our everything, the reason for our living, and without Him we are truly nothing. With this production they have reached the nomination of Lanzamiento del Año (Release of the Year) by the Premios Arpa Academy, which recognizes the work of all artists and ministers in the Spanish Music Industry each year, and have received much recognition and support thus far. They hope to be able to continue inspiring young hearts to seek and walk with God in a radical, committed and enthusiastic way for years to come.

Anthony Evans

Anthony EvansIn 2001 Christian music gained a new voice when legendary innovator Kirk Franklin asked Anthony Evans to join his ministry. Evans harmonized with his mentor and friend for four extraordinary years, until the rhythm his own maturing music set in motion a solo career. Now, for a decade, Anthony has voiced the Gospel with such a melodic, thought-provoking style that he has immerged as one of Christian music’s premiere male vocalists …and worship leaders.

A much-sought-after leader of worship, Anthony has garnered invitations across the spectrum from Franklin Graham events, to such venues as The National Worship Leaders Conference.  As a live performer, Evans has shared the stage with such talents as Yolanda Adams, David Phelps, FFH and Natalie Grant. And as a composer/ artist, Anthony’s crossover music has vibrated both the doors of the church and ventured beyond.

Over the course of his 21ST Century career Anthony Evans has released five major studio projects;   Even More, Letting Go, The Bridge, What Christmas Means,  and most recently, Undisguised.  Each composition is engaging, illuminating; evoking an atmosphere of introspection and inspiration.  The result is a musical journey well worth taking; an adventure many worship-minded music lovers deliberately experience, again and again.

Not only have two Evans music videos stayed in the #1 spot on Gospel Music Channel for five consecutive weeks, but in 2008, Anthony’s “The Bridge” topped the charts as the #1 downloaded Christian album in the country.

Now, having completed a full decade of his 21 Century ministry, the rhythm of his ever-maturing mission shows no sign of slowing down.

Sarah Reeves

Sarah Reeves"I have one goal and one true destiny," Sarah Reeves declares urgently, "and that is to bring people to the heart of God, to help them understand His love, His mercy, and the freedom and power of worshipping Him. My goal is to lead the nations into His arms. That's my calling."

A radical encounter with God at the age of 15 forever changed Sarah's focus. "I was attending a youth camp in Alabama when God called me to be a worship leader. I thought 'Of all people, You want ME?' I had a Moses moment as I felt everything opposite of confident and adequate for the task God laid out before me. Suddenly, a peace that passed all understanding consumed me as His Holy Spirit assured me of His promise that His strength is perfected in my weakness."

Sarah started her journey as a touring artist with Rush of Fools, Robbie Seay Band, Jimmy Needham, and several others. She has made her way throughout the country leading worship in a wide variety of places such as Acquire the Fire, Crystal Cathedral, and National Assemblies of God events as well as leading worship for Beth Moore, Kay Arthur and other women's conferences.

Encountering God is what drives Sarah to sing. She says, "I pray God moves every heart closer to His as they listen to the music He's given me. My desire is for them to encounter Him in a deep and refreshing way, to cry if they need to cry, to dance if they need to dance. My prayer is that every heart will be opened up and there will be no shame in giving God our everything."
